Microsoft claims to have upgraded their alarm app in Windows 10 with a few new features. However, there isn’t much of a difference between the new version and its predecessor, which came with Windows 8. To use the alarm app, you will still need to go to the start menu.
Because the apps are shown in alphabetical order, you will see the alarm app at the top of the list. Once you click on the option that says, “Alarm and Clock”, here is what you need to do…
How to Use Alarms in Windows 10- Step by Step Instructions
Step 1: When you click on the “Alarm and Clock” app from the “Start” menu, a window will open on your screen. At the top of this window, you will find four options. Of these, choose the first which says “alarm”.
Step 2: If an alarm has already been set, you can change it by clicking on the time. This will take you to the rotating “Edit Alarm” counter.
If an alarm has not been set or if you want to add a new alarm, click on the “plus sign” icon at the bottom of the screen.
Step 3: You will notice that this is not a 24-hour clock. So, choose the time in hour and minutes and then select AM or PM.
Step 4: To save the alarm, click on the “save” icon at the bottom right of the screen.
You can change the alarm tone, name and the number of times the alarm is repeated. In addition to these, you also get a choice for snooze time. You can disable the option or you can have the alarm ring from 5 minutes to an hour apart.
To delete an alarm, click on it and when you are on the “edit alarm” window, click on the elete’ button at the bottom of the screen. The button with the “trash can” icon is the delete button.
